Peter Luscuere is professor at Delft University of Technology since 1991 and has extensive experience in the Building Industry: Industrial, Health Care, Offices and Museum. His experience lies with research into indoor air quality and sustainability, more specifically Cradle to Cradle and circular economy. He has been travelling China since 1985 and has given lectures in many universities. He is guest professor in Tianjin University and member of the international jury of the biannual International Solar Building Design Competition in China.
"Beyond Sustainability"
His lecture called “Beyond Sustainability” is about the limitations we impose upon ourselves given the idea we have to reduce our energy consumption and related CO2 emissions. Instead we should see our waste including the CO2 emissions as a resource we can use to our benefit. All four basic sustainability vectors are discussed: energy, water, top soil and materials as well as the difference between efficiency and effectiveness. We should move from less bad to more good.
