受张春路教授邀请，美籍华人专家Hwaiyu Geng（耿怀渝）先生于2016年11月8日访问同济大学，并在机械与能源工程学院进行了题为Internet of Things & Data Analytics in Advanced Manufacturing的主题报告。

Hwaiyu Geng, CMfgE, P.E., is the founder and principal at Amica Research, Palo Alto, California (www.AmicaResearch.org), promoting green advanced engineering programs. He has had over 40-years of diversified engineering and management experience, working with Westinghouse, Applied Materials, Hewlett-Packard, and Intel on international high-tech projects. He has written and presented numerous technical papers at international conferences. He is the editor/Author of Manufacturing Engineering Handbook (2e, McGraw-Hill, 2016), Semiconductor Manufacturing Handbook (McGraw-Hill, Honorable Mention, 2005 PROSE Award, 2e in 2017), Data Center Handbook (John Wiley & Sons, 2015), and IoT/Data Analytics Handbook (John Wiley & Sons, December 2016). He is a patent holder.
